A Microbrewery Drafts an Expansion Plan

A popular downtown Akron brew pub has expansion on tap.

The Ohio Brewing Co. has partnered with Tramonte Distributing Co. to make its craft beer available on draft to bars and restaurants throughout the region. The brewery — which opened in 2008 — will bottle its beer later this year.

The Ohio Brewing Co. is at 222 S. Main St. in the former O’Neil’s Department Store. In addition to its nine craft beers, the pub also has offers a full food menu.
